Mr. Michael G. Andegeorgis is a dedicated immigration attorney with nearly two decades of experience helping individuals, families, and businesses navigate the complexities of U.S. immigration law. His practice spans a wide range of matters, including family-based petitions, employment visas, asylum applications, and removal defense.
Known for his client-centered and culturally sensitive approach, Mr. Andegeorgis combines deep legal expertise with compassion and integrity. He has successfully represented clients before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), and the U.S. Courts of Appeals. His appellate work includes securing favorable outcomes and successfully reversing BIA denials at the federal level.
Mr. Andegeorgis graduated from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2003, where he concentrated on immigration and international human rights law. He is admitted to practice in New York, the District of Columbia, and before the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, and Ninth Circuits.
An active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) since 2008, Mr. Andegeorgis regularly volunteers at legal clinics and pro bono initiatives supporting immigrant communities. He is also involved in various human rights advocacy organizations, where he holds leadership roles.
Mr. Andegeorgis worked for various law firms before opening his practice in Washington, DC in 2009. In the past nearly 17 years, Mr. Andegeorgis represented immigrants from different parts the world.
Fluent in Tigrinya and Amharic, and conversational in Arabic, Mr. Andegeorgis brings a multicultural perspective to his practice and remains deeply committed to advancing social justice and immigrant rights.
